"Could Not Save Item" -- none of my site translators are working

After reviewing the Translator Troubleshooting page and the forums, I'm still stumped: last week all my site translators stopped working. I most often use WorldCat, JSTOR, and Project Muse. Here's an example URL from another database, Sage Journals: http://ptx.sagepub.com/content/42/6/682.abstract

The Zotero icon appears in the address line, but every time it returns the "Could Not Save Item" message.

I'm pretty sure that all my versions are synced:

Mac OSX 10.6.8
Firefox 33.1.1
Zotero extension 4.0.23.1 (says it's beta)

Besides a problem with the Zotero beta version, the only thing that I can think of is that my institution's proxy server (UC-Berkeley) is interfering somehow with the translators. Please help!
  • Zotero Beta is currently broken (will be fixed tonight). I would suggest rolling back to official Zotero release for now (you can safely remove Zotero and install it again in Firefox, but making backups of your data is always a good idea)
