Upgrade Storagenumbering of bibliography

i use citation style journal of neurophysiology2
my bib looks like this
Alberti C. Three-dimensional CT Br J Radiol 53: 261–262, 1980.
Ameerally PJ, Use of an external fixator Br J Oral Maxillofac Surg 42: 354–356, 2004.
it is sorted by alphabet of authors. I want to have a numbering like:
1.Alberti C. Three-dimensional CT Br J Radiol 53: 261–262, 1980.
2.Ameerally PJ, Use of an external fixator Br J Oral Maxillofac Surg 42: 354–356, 2004.
Is that possible?
