Create new citation

Has something changed in Zotero? I used to be able to click on Tools in browser and choose create new item and the article I was looking at would populate into Zotero. This is basic stuff. Maybe I'm losing my mind.

    I'm not sure that was ever a Zotero option (though I could be mistaken). It may have been some Zotero add-on that introduced such an option. In any case, it probably used to do what right-clicking the page and selecting "Save to Zotero" (or something similar). Note that this option is almost always worse than clicking the URL bar icon. It should only be used when Zotero doesn't recognize metadata on the page and the URL bar icon is not displayed.

    I figured it out. I was being an idiot. Sorry. It had been some time since using Zotero. Believe it or not I had forogtten where to find the icon--in the URL bar as you have mentioned. I'm so sorry.
