Chicago Manual Style 16th edition but without capitals, possible?

Hi,
I'm writing in Dutch so I need only capitals for the first word of a sentence and not for other important words (as in English). The Chicago Manual Style 16th edition is a good style I think for me but does anyone know how I can turn of the giving of capitals in an automatic way?
Sorry for my english.
Best regards,
aacoppen
  • Putting "nl" in the Language field of the Dutch items should do it. Alternatively, if the style has default-locale set to "nl", entries with an empty Language field will be treated as Dutch references for capitalization purposes.
  • Hi Fbennett,

This works indeed! Thanks a lot! Spend some time searching for the solution but asking experts on this forum just seems the best solution ;-) Thx
  • Note that you probably don't want to be inserting "nl" for all of the entries in Zotero. It's _supposed_ to be entered only for references that are Dutch.

If you're writing in Dutch, you will probably want to use a Dutch citation style, or (since CMoS is localizable) set your bibliography locale to Dutch. See https://www.zotero.org/support/supported_languages#citations_and_bibliographies
