General sync feedback
There are some things I would like to see with regard to syncing:
- the option to choose whether or not synced files are zipped (I don't think it is required for file syncing on local drives, and not compressing the files would grant easier access)
- information during syncing on which item/file is currently being synced (this would help troubleshooting)
- the ability to cancel/abort syncs
- the option to disable automatic syncing
- perhaps it would be handier if the Webdav-folder would be something like ".../zotero/zoteroID/" instead of ".../zotero/", so that a single Webdav-location can be more easily used by multiple people (=zotero accounts).
- not very urgent, but it would be nice if the total amount of data to be synced would be showed, together with the data-speed and estimated time of syncing
- Zotero probably should prompt the user whether the Webdav zotero-folder should be created if it doesn't exist yet
