Add or Rename a Specific Attribute in an Item Info Pane

Hi

When I save a Book from Google Books service, in the Info pane of that book, there are a number of attributes like Item Type, Title, Author and so on.

Is it possible to Add a desired attribute? Something like Serial. Or at least to rename an existing one?

    no, sorry. You can't customize fields and/or the item pane.
    What exactly do you want to add to what item type?

    I need to add a unique number (Like Serial Number) to each BOOK. I know, ISBN can do this, but a self-defined number is pretty preferable.

    I'd use Extra for that, it's for those types of things. Or call number if that's appropriate and not already taken.

    Useful hint. In Google Books catalog, Extra field is often assigned with some apparently meaningless digits. Can I delete them?

    One more thing, may I ask you what is Call Number used for? What value often is assigned to it? I have never seen any thing in it.

    call number is used for call number (signatures) from library catalogs.
    You can definitely delete anything in Extra that isn't useful to you, yes.
