Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) & DOI
ERIC has a relatively new web interface and Zotero captures everything quite well -- rather amazingly well considering the state of the metadata from the page headers). However, the import is missing the article DOI.
The page html contains the doi as part of the
string and is always in the form of a link:
title="http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1943-278X.2011.00048.x"
Please consider including the DOI in the metadata obtained from ERIC records.
I have written to ERIC contacts but have had no satisfactory response. They wrote that it wouldn't be done because only some of the records have been assigned DOI numbers. (Clearly, I haven't reached the right people.)

Greetings,
The ERIC system does not currently support citation management software. We appreciate your inquiry about it, however, and we’ll take your interest under consideration for ongoing discussions about future functionality for the website.
In regards to DOIs, ERIC does not routinely include DOIs in the metadata. If you open the record and mouse over DIRECT LINK in the box to the right the URL will appear at the bottom of the page (either a DOI or some other URL if that is not available). DIRECT LINK is not available on all ERIC records, only journal article records from 2004-forward. It only appears if the publisher provided us with the link.
I hope this information was helpful. We sincerely appreciate your interest in ERIC.

Jay Yorke
