Id. & immediate succession
Hi again,
I'm still working on my CSL for the Journal of Belgian History...
A new difficulty occured:
When an author is cited in immediate succession with different titles/works, his/her name will be replaced at the second mention by Id.
Example: Henri Bernard, Guerre totale et guerre révolutionnaire, Bruxelles/Paris, 1975, p. 3; Id., Armée secrète 1940-1944, Annexe III.
These immediate successions may happen inside one footnote (see example above) or in subsequent footnotes...
If it's easy to implement the subsequent-author-substitute in the bibliography it seems to me a lot more complicated when i'm in the citation part.
I'm already using the following for immediate successions of citations of the same work, which must appear as Idem, p.4
When the citations are not in immediate succession i'm using the short title (thanks again Rintze!)
Is there actually a solution for this problem?

<if position="ibid-with-locator">
<group delimiter=", ">
<text value="idem" text-case="capitalize-first" font-style="italic"/>
<text variable="locator" prefix="p. "/>
</group>
</if>
<else-if position="ibid">
<text value="idem" text-case="capitalize-first" font-style="italic"/>
</else-if>

How would this work with multiple authors? For example:
A. Ango, B. Blowfish and C. Crypto, "Book I" (1920); A. Ango, D. Darkmatter, "Book II" (1921); D. Darkmatter, E. Enigma, "Book III" (1922); E. Enigma, "Book IV" (1923).
Would we (a) not use "id." in any of these; (b) use "id." for the "A. Ango" of "Book II"; (c) use "id." for the "D. Darkmatter" of "Book III"; or (d) use "id." for the "E. Enigma" of "Book IV"?
If there are clear answers, and if this convention is common in a significant publishing sector, then it can happen, although it may take a year or three for us to reach it.
