could not read text from PDF IN ZOTERO
I have installed recent version of Zotero (4.0.23.1) and also i have installed the newer version of Firefox (33.0).
while i am retrieving metadata from pdf, it is showing could not read text from PDF.
I have checked from pdf indexing that it is up to date, and also rebuild index from Full-Text cache.
please anyone can help me out in this ASAP, needing help urgently.

Upgrade Storage
It is for all PDFs not for a specific one.
Save this: http://m.rrojasdatabank.info/103garreton.pdf
to your Zotero, then try retrieve metadata. If that fails, provide a debug ID for such a failed attempt (for this document)

Thanks!
I have saved your provided pdf file. Thereafter tried to retrieve metadata, but it fails. Hence, I am providing a debug id which is given below:
The Debug ID is D871368283.
Thanks and regards in advance

If that doesn't help, my best guess is that this is due to security software on your system interfering — say, by preventing Firefox from launching external programs. Try temporarily disabling your security software (or whitelisting the Zotero data directory somehow).
your advise worked for me. it is great help for me.
Now I can retrieve metadata from pdf files.
