Mac with non-English versions of Office 2008

Hello,

I have a student with a Japanase versions of Office 2008 installed on his MAC. Of course, plugin scripts do not appear. We have tried with this from the documentation: "If you have only non-English versions of Office installed, you can delete the Microsoft User Data folder if it contains nothing other than the Zotero scripts."
The trouble is that on his machine this folder does contain other than Zotero sripts. What should we do now?

Thanks
ivett
  • First of all, make sure that you're looking for Zotero in the right place: it does not show up as an add-on toolbar on Word 2008
    http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_toolbar_in_word_2008_plugin

If that doesn't help, you could also just do step 3. of the instructions if you're concerned step 2. will break/delete something else.
  • Thanks a lot for the prompt answer. Sure, we checked this (http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_toolbar_in_word_2008_plugin) at the very first time and later on many times but to no avail.

Ok, then we are going to try with the step 3. of the instructions, although it says: "If you have both English and non-English versions of Office installed,....." He has only the non-English version installed. But I guess we have no other chance. (I mean I suggested him to use LibreOffice instead.:-)
