How to install the Chrome connector in China?

Hi, I am in China. Since this June the Google has been blocked by Chinese government. Therefore we can not connect to Chrome store.

In this situation, how can I install the connector for Chrome?

Of course I can choose to use Firefox. But for sync reason, I prefer to use Chrome. I am now visiting an host institute in which I can not sync my Firefox data in their computer. While since there is a download limit, I have to connect to the computer in my home institution to download papers.

    In fact, I have find a CRX file of the connector, but I can not install it into Chrome.

    you might be able to in developer mode. Check the box under chrome://extensions/

    Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I could not installed the CRX in developer mode.

    To install a CRX file in Chrome:
    1. Unzip it (rename the file to have .zip extension if you don't know how to unzip otherwise)

    2. Delete _metadata folder

    3. Go to chrome://extensions in Chrome

    4. Enable "Developer mode" (checkbox at the top)

    5. Click "Load unpacked extension..." and select the directory you extracted the CRX file into
