Style Error: BioTechniques

The BioTechniques style does not include the proper citations for software or web programs and web pages referenced. It gives titles, but not the URL or accessed date. The requirements are included in instructions for authors. I tried to modify- but kept getting 'invalid file type' when I changed it to a .csl file, and could not get it to appear in my list of options.

I have found at the instruction for authors that for software either (1.) you cite the original article where the software is introduced, (2.) or just give the web adress in parenthesis, (3.) or just give some information in parenthesis. In these cases (2.+3.) you don't need zotero for the citation. I haven't found anything about webpages in that pdf. Do you have other information? What are the requirements how it should look like? Maybe an example helps.
