Nothing happens with Import

I am trying to import RIS-files to Zotero but it does not work. Just nothing happens when I click Import and then I choose the RIS-file. No error message, no reaction at all.
I am using Firefox 32.0.3

The following is an example of a RIS-file I have tried to import:

  • If you copy the above RIS entry and Import from Clipboard, does it import? If so, we'd want to see the actual file you're trying to import (upload via Dropbox or something similar and link here). If no, then see 3, 4, 6, 11 here: https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
  • Thank you for your quick answer!

    Unfortunately is also not working from Clipboard.
    I have the actual version of Zotero (4.0) and of Firefox (32.0). In addition, the translator is updated.

    I have sent the Error report with the following ID:
    982470436

    The same error happens when I try to import a reference from ACS Publications (http://pubs.acs.org/) or from Wiley Online Library (http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/)
  • @Dan - could you post the relevant portion?
  • version => 4.0.12
    osarbu: You're running a very outdated version of Zotero — 4.0.12 is over a year old. Upgrade to the latest version, currently 4.0.22, and make sure you have automatic add-on updates enabled in Firefox.
  • Thank you for the advise.

    Indeed that was the problem, I installed the new version and now it works.
    Since I though I was having the last version because on the download page (https://www.zotero.org/download/) and in this page (https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues) only the "4.0" version is mentioned, I suggest to change this to avoid confusion.
    But thanks again for the help!
