ZotFile & Skim PDF Annotations

I have a Mac OSX 10.9.5 and use Skim as my PDF reader due to its ability to extract highlighted text. I started using the ZotFile plugin designed to, among other things, automatically move these annotations into my Zotero notes. However, ZotFile does not seem to be working with Skim - is this the case? If so, any ideas on how to convert all my Skim PDF notes into a format that ZotFile likes?

    I have nothing on conversion, but I know that both Preview and Adobe work with ZotFile (as does anything else that uses standard annotations) so that would be the direction to look into.
