Corrupted citation display

I've written a document in MS Word and used Zotero standalone for the citations. Things were working well, but now when I accept track change revisions within the document some citations are displayed as ADDIN Zotero items. This may only happen to the citation immediately following the document text I revised using the "Accept" feature in track changes.

Interestingly, when I tried to copy the entire string of related text into this message, only the actual citation appeared. It seems that the citation is still correct, but how it should be displayed has been corrupted. I'd be grateful for any advice regarding how to resolve this problem. Thanks

    Select All, right-click, Toggle Field Codes.

    It took two tries, but your advice corrected the problem. Do you know why I had this problem?

    Can't tell you, but it's not really a problem — that's just one of two possible display modes in Word. Zotero doesn't have anything to do with which one is displayed.
