Problem with Webdav

A warning pops out when I click on "verify server" in the preference tab.

"A potential problem was found with your WebDAV server.

An uploaded file was not immediately available for download. There may be a short delay between when you upload files and when they become available, particularly if you are using a cloud storage service.

If Zotero file syncing appears to work normally, you can ignore this message. If you have trouble, please post to the Zotero Forums."

I'm using https://dav.box.com/dav/zotero for the webdav server. The uploading part is working fine. I have all the .zip, .prop and lastsync.txt files in my box.com/zotero folder. But I cannot download the PDF attachments from the server when I use the zotpad app on my ipad/iphone.

Thanks. Ecia
  • You'd have to ask Mikko, the ZotPad developer, for help with ZotPad. For Zotero itself, you'd want to see Files Not Syncing and check from another Zotero installation.
  • (But that message on Verify Server is expected with a cloud-based WebDAV service like Box that uses Amazon S3 for storage.)
  • Many thanks for the prompt reply.

It seems like the upload is not working either. I followed the direction of "Files Not Syncing" and uploaded the attachment via zotero on my laptop. But the .pdf file is actually not synced to the server(only the information synced). And the file I uploaded via zotero website cannot be downloaded to the zotero software. Thus the problem would probably be something about webdav server.....
  • Figured it out! The software is now working fine. The warning is still there though.
  • And the issue was..? (For others looking for solutions)
  • The first problem was solved by clicking on the reset button and restarting the program several times..(don't no reason yet).

The second post was actually my mistake. I select "attach link to file" instead of "attach stored copy to file" when I was checking.

Zotpad is also working fine right now.
