APA 6th Edition Reference Error - Wrong Case in Book Title
I tried to search for this before posting but didn't see the error reported, so am starting this thread.
In APA 6th Edition in Zotero a book is exported like this (for the references section):
Corey, G., Corey, M. S., Corey, C., & Callanan, P. (2014). Issues and Ethics in the Helping Professions (9 edition.). Cengage Learning.
I just got my first two papers back and I was corrected by the professor. Apparently only the FIRST WORD in a book title should be capitalized, all the rest should be lower case. The same is true for subtitles, only the first word is capitalized. So the above reference should look like this:
Corey, G., Corey, M. S., Corey, C., & Callanan, P. (2014). Issues and ethics in the helping professions (9 edition.). Cengage Learning.
I don't know if there is any way other than here to report the problem so that it can be fixed but, if so, please let me know and I'll post it there (or send an e-mail) as well.
Many thanks!

mjuchterThank you, good to know. Passing word to my fellow students, since we all really like Zotero (and find APA to be quirky in the extreme).

adamsmithYou can right click on a title in Zotero and select "Sentence case"--but note that you'll have to re-capitalize any proper nouns as well as the first letter of the subtitle (after the colon).

mjuchterSweet, thanks! That's going to save a lot of time in correcting my library!
