When I try to save records in Google Scholar, after saving on average 250 records (rough estimate) continuously, the 'saving to...' message appears, but the records do not get listed. Any advice?

that's likely the result of google scholar blocking you as a presumed bot. Have you tried doing another google scholar search? Do you get some type of error message from google?

Thanks for the prompt response. Yes, I have, and it does not work. I usually have to wait for a few hours for the issue to be solved. I was wondering if there is anyway to solve the problem without having to wait a few hours.

you can try clearing cookies (or at least google scholar cookies). Good chance that will help.

I have tried clearing cookies, and also tried resetting the browser (both Firefox and Chrome),but no luck. Any other suggestion?

no. I don't think we've ever seen a hard lock-out such as this where neither filling out the captcha (if you get one) nor clearing cookies helps. Clearly, google doesn't want you to be doing whatever you're doing and even if Zotero could do something about that--which it may not be able to anyway--it probably shouldn't.

I am collecting data using Google Scholar to conduct an author-co-citation analysis and the citation data that I need is not available in any other bibliometric data source. Thanks for your help anyway.

There is no "fix" per se for the issue as it's simply a google policy.
