In Word2010, my footnote appears in brackets instead of being at the end of the page. Help please!

Hello,
I just started using Zotero today, and I have read a whole tutorial but I still have problems doing a footnote.
When I insert one, instead of a little number appearing after my word and the reference being at the end of the page, it appears in brackets.
Here are two screenshots to show you my problem :

My Zotero and my Word 2010 are in french, by the way (in case that changes something).
Also, I use the APA style. Here's a screenshot of it : https://imageshack.com/i/f0wFe6qMj

Thanks a lot if you can help me, I have a homework due next week :)

  • APA citation style is an author-date style. Sound like you want a note (numbers in text, citations in footnotes/endnotes; e.g. Chicago Manual of Style) or numeric style (numbers in text, insert bibliography wherever you want [generally at the end of document]; e.g. Vancouver)
  • Yes, that's exactly what I wanted. Thank you, it worked with the Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition (full note).
It's strange because my teacher specified she wanted the APA norm for all of our works and for the bibliography. I'll verify with her next monday.
    Thanks, have a good day.
