Upgrade StorageProblems in syncing (using Dropbox and Zotfile)
I have two computers, running different OS: Mac and Win.
I'd like to sync my PDFs using Dropbox rather than zotero servers, so I create a folder named 'storage' under my Dropbox, and make symbol-link to my zotero directory location.
This method has already been widely used by many people, and it truly works.
However, zotero stores the PDFs in a very messy way (at least in my point of view), they are storing in folders named like 'EDIWYDNC23H3IK'. This is really inconvenient!
I want to arrange the PDFs in my way, for example, /%y, then all the PDFs are stored in folders named by different years. So I use Zotfile to do this. In Zotfile Preference, I choose the folder in my Dropbox as the 'Custom Location', and renamed them all to re-arranged the PDFs. This is done in Win compter.
I set up the Zotfile in the same way in Mac, and sync the files in Dropbox. But, the relationship between the ref items and the PDFs is failed in Mac. It seems that zotfile uses the absolute location to remember the relation.
