create new item from a link to a .bib file

Is there a way to create a new item from a link to a BibTex file? For example, the ACL anthology provides a link to a .bib file for each of the papers in a conference or workshop (e.g. http://www.aclweb.org/anthology-new/P/P08/) I know I can download the .bib file to disk somewhere, and then use "Import..." to load it, but that gets tedious when there are many papers I'd like to add. I tried right-clicking on the .bib link, but the only option I get is "Save Link As Zotero Snapshot". Is there any way to add the new item without going through the whole download-then-import thing?

This isn't yet possible, but it's a planned feature.
