ISO-690 Author-Date : what happend to the title ?

Hi,

I'm using the ISO-690 Author-Date styles (English and French), and I've just been noting that the creation of a bibliographic records doesn't show anymore the title of the documents. That's ok for the brackets in the text, but not for the bibliography at the end of the work.

Does someone know what happened and what we can do ?
  • Is that in Zotero? Do you have an example? The titles are still there for me and the appear in the preview on zotero.org/styles, too.
  • Hi,

    Same problem for me. Here is an example.
    This item is displayed like this (using the ISO-690 style):

    BLOOM, B S, ENGLEHARD, M. D., FURST, E. J., HILL, W. H. et KRATHWOHL, D. R. ISBN 9780679302117.
  • thanks, got it. It's a bug in the style that only now appears because the CSL processor tightened/corrected it's behavior. I'll fix it. We may see more such issues.

    (For those curious about the technical details, the issue are if statements like
    <if variable="author editor translator">
    <text variable="title" font-style="italic"/>
    </if>

    which used to be interpreted--incorrectly--with an implicit match="any", but are now interpreted--correctly according to CSL specifications--interpreted as match="all" i.e. you'd only get a title there if you have an author, an editor, and a translator).

    After the first comment of adamsmith, I've tested it again :

    1. On a Fedora 20 machine, using Firefox 31, Zotero 4.0.21.5, Zotero LO Integration 3.5.9, LO 4.2.6.2, everything is OK. See this printscreen : http://id-libre.org/bozon/index.php?f=5407fd6363e87

    2. On a Windows 7 machine, using Firefox 32, Zotero 4.0.22, Zotero LO Integration 3.5.9, LO 4.2.5.2, the title is missing. See this printscreen : http://id-libre.org/bozon/index.php?f=5407fd634aae5

    The reference used is this one : https://www.zotero.org/igor.m/items/itemKey/F88GK2UJ
  • The styles are now fixed. The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by clicking "Update Now" in the General tab of the Zotero preferences.

    Styles also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
    In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
    Any further problems please let us know & thanks for reporting
  • I confirm, everything is OK now. Thank you very much !
  • Same for me. Everything is in order now.
    Thanks!

    Hi. I am having a similar problem. When I insert citation, in the Zotero bar it shows: (Author, YEAR). I press enter, but then it only puts this into the text: (1). How do I change it to the form: (Author, YEAR)? Thank you! Jan

    Edit: Deleted my response because I misread the question.

    This last issue seems to be something different from the thread topic. Could you be using a numeric style when you want an author/date style?
