I experience Zotero to be a powerful tool not only to organize citations but bookmarks etc.

I would like to organize my wine collection. Is it possible to implement a template?

Editing item types is not recommended and requires a fair amount of technical grit.

I would recommend using a existing item type and simply fitting the different info you need to store into fields as you see fit. I suppose you could classify your wine as artwork?
