problems with username wit "-" in the name

i had a different username like this: t-e-s-t and with that i could n get the sync feature to work, every time error, username does not exist or something.
than i created this login name without "-" and it works now....

Sorry if this is a known error, but then please write it in the know issue text

Thanks for your report. This is a known issue:

"Periods and other punctuation characters are not allowed in usernames"
