Moving collections and subcollections to another pc

Hi. I am switching pcs and wish to move my collections and subcollections (in as few moves as possible) to the new pc (around 12000 posts, no pdfs). I created a bibtex file but when importing it just puts all items in one collection and all collections and several subcollections are gone. How to solve? Thanks! Pia
