Standalone reference error 1934723220

Hello,
I opened the standalone version and found that the citation display was empty, although the number of citations in each folder is found in the main citation window.
The web browser based Zotero shows all the citations.
I'm using GNU/Linux Debian 7 64 bits and Iceweasel (A version of Firefox browser for GNU/Linux).

The error log follows:
The following error message appears in the error log:

  • SOLVED?
    Hello again,
The problem was that, apparently the web-based version was running in the backgroud. When I closed the web browser and restarted the standalone version it showed the whole reference list. However, if somebody else can "decrypt" the error message and put it in "rookie" words I will very much appreciate.
    Many thanks,
    Regards
    Mendieta

That sounds like a problem with Zotero Standalone as packaged for Debian. It should not be possible to open them at the same time. (meaning it should be reported to the packager if you're using the .deb package).
  • Hello Adam,

I downloaded the compressed tar.bz2 for 64 bits architecture from Zotero's web page. As far as I know this was not the packaged .deb but the source file. I used the source because I have the testing (Wheezy) version of Debian installed, and the precompiled .deb file is, so far, developed for the unstable (Sid) version.
In fact I had to run the usual commands (./configure, ./make, ./make install) to get the the application to work . So, I believe it was not a .deb precompilation issue. Further comments on this issue are welcome. Regards,
    Gerardo
