Date for multivolume work not yet completed
Per Chicago Manual of Style 14.151, multivolume works are dated by the range in which all volumes were published (like 1955-1986). Zotero does this.
But if the multivolume work "has not yet been completed, the date of the first volume is followed by an en dash (with no space between the en dash and the punctuation that follows; see 6.79)."
How do I do this in Zotero? I have tried entering the date field "1955-" but the output in note format just gives "1955" without the en dash.

adamsmithI'm surprised you're getting 1955-1986. I don't think Zotero does that either. In any case, date ranges, open or closed, and approximate dates are not currently supported. It's generally on the agenda, but I'm not sure how soon that'll happen. Probably not very soon.
