Preserving Word citations when moving items between libraries

I would like to delete a group library and move all of the items in that library to My Library. Is there any way to preserve the connection of citations in Word documents to items in this library so that they instead point to items in My Library? Hacks or workarounds are okay.

    (I have nothing. Solution would have to be on the pretty hacky side of things, but maybe someone has a better idea about which direction to go).

    In my case, I'm presently using My Library for essentially nothing, so I am basically looking to turn this group library into My Library. Is there anything I could do database-wise or that the any of the Zotero staff could do to change the library IDs to accomplish that?
