Safety mode interuppting communication with Word?
Hi everyone,
I updated Zotero this morning on my PC and, after restarting Zotero as per the prompt, the Word document I was using prior to the update can no longer communicate with Zotero.. The following message occurs:
"Zotero Integration Error:
Zotero could not load the component required to communicate with your word processor. Please ensure the appropriate extension is installed and try again"
But then when I go to the Add-ons manager in my Z-standalone, it says "all add-ons have been disabled by safe mode", and I can see my Zotero Word for Windows Integration has been disabled with no information on how to enable it.
Any ideas? I've been trying to search on the forums for anything similar but haven't found much, and the extension is separate to a plug-in, right?
My ref no for Zotero feedback is: 934016823
Any help = amazing, thanks

dstillmanYou're running Zotero 4.0.15, which is pretty far out of date. Try upgrading to the latest version from the download page.

carl0087Weird - it updates everyday so I assumed it was the most recent version. Thanks for that!

carl0087It won't stuff up any of my library will it? Sounds like a stupid question but I had to ask

dstillmanNo, not at all, though you should certainly have a backup of your Zotero data directory (and, really, these days, your whole hard drive, in a regular, automated fashion) anyway.

carl0087I do, but am always paranoid - I'm into my 2nd year of my phd, and it would kill me anything happened! Thanks for your help :)
