the same reference used second time

I have a big problem. in my de dissertation, I use the style 'Chicago manual of style 16th edition (full note)' when the one reference used second time, it appears ' Ibid.' how can I do ?
I want it gives the same number as the first time I used.
  • The Chicago Manual of Style notes styles require Ibid. Why do you need to override the actual rules of the style?
  • if you want the same _number_ to appear, though, you don't want to use Chicago style. Try one of the styles we refer to as "numeric," which include Vancouver, Nature, and IEEE.
  • so, I want write my dissertation. It is not for the publication. thanks all the same.
  • To adam,
so, I tried to use the styles 'numeric', but which I want is that the references appear at the end of the same page where is used. Not in the last page all numbered.
So like the style 'chicago note', but give the same number of the first used.
    thank you
  • that can't be done, sorry. Footnotes in Word/LibreOffice are always sequential, you can't have them out of order (i.e. repeating a number for a repeated reference).
I know some (very, very few) journals do this, but they don't do their typesetting in Word.
  • To adam,
    thank you very much!
