Zotero citations fields in MSWord 2011 for Mac (OS 10.6.8) no longer highlighted grey

Hi,

All my Zotero citation fields in my MSWord files previously would be highlighted in grey, if I clicked on one of these fields. This was helpful because it was my quick confirmation that the citation was indeed a Zotero citation field (which I'd later use to generate a reference list), and not just some text that I had typed.

Now, none of these citation fields appear highlighted in grey when I click in it. Why?

    Not sure where this is on Mac (Google might know), but you can set field highlighting to be always shown, never shown, or only when you hover your mouse over it.

    The setting is in Word preferences somewhere

    Word Preferences > View > Field shading (use drop menu to select "never"/"always"/"when selected")
