Could someone please help me understand what I am doing wrong, I am not able to 'suppress' the 'author name' on my citations. Neither page numbers show up on them.

My system is:

  • 1. Note that ODF scan is not an official part of Zotero. In this case it's clear that that's what you're using, but in general it's important that you specify these things to avoid confusion.

    2. The citation you see after the scan is always going to get the basic form of the citation, i.e. Akbaba, 2006. You need to select a citation style using the Zotero Ooo add-on (under Set Document Preferences) to actually get formatted citation output. We try to make that as clear as possible in our instructions. (Some of what you do there also won't work. Apart from the - sign for suppress author, you should leave that part alone. E.g. putting a parenthesis before the minus will break suppress author).
  • Thank you very much for your help! Zotero is great and now I will be able to use Scrivener and have citations on my documents. Thanks again.
