Quick Format Citation does not recognise non-English characters

When inserting citations, the quick format citations dialog box does not respond to Chinese characters. I can only cite Chinese references via the classical method. Is there any way to fix this bug? Thanks!

    What happens if you type a space, then backspace, after entering the characters?

    It works. But the space has to be a half-width one rather than the full-width convention in Chinese scripts. Anyway, this is still much more convenient than the classical method. Thanks!
