Style Error: Global Ecology and Biogeography
Hi there!
I just found a mismatch between this style and the current requirements from the journal. I changed the style to remove the disambiguate-add-names="true" disambiguate-add-givenname="true" options.
Here is the link to the modified style, just in case you want to check it out and update the version in the repository. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33940356/global-ecology-and-biogeography.csl
Best and thank you for the great tools!

What are you basing this on? The Author Guidelines don't say anything about this either way (they just talk about what to do with items by the same author, not by different authors with same last name, nor anything about same 2nd or 3rd author). Do you have an example from a published article or word from the editor?
In the Author Guidelines (point 5. References) they state "When reference is made to a work by three of more authors the first name followed by et al. is used on all ocassions." Hence, disambiguation should be made base in the first author only, and not in 2nd or 3rd.
This is illustrated in this paper from December 2013: Menéndez, R., González-Megías, A., Jay-Robert, P. and Marquéz-Ferrando, R. (2014), Climate change and elevational range shifts: evidence from dung beetles in two European mountain ranges. Global Ecology and Biogeography, 23: 646–657. doi: 10.1111/geb.12142. http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/geb.12142/full
In that paper, Chen et al. (2011a and b) share only the two first authors, but the third is different.

Diego
