ASA style: I want ibid, but it's not there
Hi there,
I have been using Zotero for a year and I like it so far.
My question is about ibid.
I am using the ASA style (american-sociological-association.csl). As far as I know, it should normally change subsequent in-text citations into ibid. But for me it doesn't work - therefore the names keep repeating. I tried using other styles that should have ibid, but none of them changes the repeated citation to ibid.
Can you please advise what I should do?
Thanks!

"Identify subsequent citations of the same source in the same way as the first."
Generally speaking, ibid. is pretty much never used in author-date citation in the Anglosaxon countries. You occasionally see it in Germany and France.
Of course, best to check in the source :)
