Updating Zotero Standalone from 4.0.20 Ubuntu 14.04 64 bits

A message appears when you re using Zotero asking you tu upgrade for safety. If you accept a screen informing the programm is connecting to update server appears , and remains trying hours and hours. Nothing happens.
Some solution, tip . Any help is wellcomed

    Hi all,
    Today everithyng runs fine. Server is available , and 2 simultaneous updates have been instaled.
    Also I solved the permissions problem in my zotero directory. Thnak's for the advice to Adam Smith, clear instructions and well identified problemm.
