Can't install on my MacBook

I'm trying to install Zotero on my MacBook running OS 10.5.4 with Firefox 3.0.1. I've tried all 3 methods suggested but nothing shows up in the Status Bar. Any suggestions?

Does Zotero show up as installed under Tools->Add-ons?

What steps are you taking to install it?

I've tried clicking the big red download button and restarting.

I've tried downloading by control-click and then dragging the icon to a Firefox window and then restarting.

I've tried going through the Add-Ons and then restarting.

It shows up in the Add-Ons but has an "Install" button. I've now tried that twice and still nothing shows up in Firefox.

I've now tried all of those things and it still won't install!

You might want to try creating a new Firefox profile and installing Zotero into it. If it works there, you can migrate the rest of your Firefox settings to the new profile.
