Keep a new column in Add/Edit Citation window

when I open the Add/Edit citation window, the only columns shown are Title, Library Catalogue and Creator. I want the Loc. In Archive to be permanently visible, but when I add it, it disappears next time I add a citation. Can anyone help with this?
  • I can reproduce this, will take a look.

@Dan, what's the advantage of zotero-persist over just regular persist? Does persist not work correctly under certain circumstances?
  • @Dan, what's the advantage of zotero-persist over just regular persist?
It allows persist to work between pane and tab mode. (It was added in 47f57509.)

In theory using it in addCitationDialog.xul could allow the column widths to be the same between the trees, but 1) I'm not sure that's desirable and 2) I'm not sure it even works in addCitationDialog.xul right now — it might just be a mistake that it's even used there.
  • Thanks! That makes sense (should have dug through git myself). It doesn't look like addCitationDialog has any serialization and, as you say, I don't think the same columns/widths are necessarily desirable. I can put up a pull request for this if you want.
  • Sure, that'd be great.
  • I don't understand any of that! :-/
  • We're working on a fix
  • Aurimas, thanks for clarifying! I thought I'd transported into someone else's discussion!

I'm doing a PhD at the moment, and Zotero is a life saver. But because of the number of references I have, this is a real problem for me at the moment.

    Thanks for looking at it.
  • HI Guys, any progress?
  • I see that you've added LocInArchive to the drop-down list when inserting a citation, but is there a way to keep it visible, as it still disappears each time I close the citation window?
  • Hi Chaps, any progress on keeping the selected columns sticky when restarting the program?
