Importing from Endnote... Provide me with some Heads UP info!

I have a general question about importing from Endnote X1, or relevantly similar versions into Z. What are the big tricks other than exporting to RIS text in EN? I have a couple of thousand entries notes and lots of keywords. Is it a good idea to try to clean up keywords first? Please share your experiences and lessons learned before I push the button!

    Well, I'll start a reply to my own thread. I tried importing a selection. One thing I notice is that each entry has a little notes field and just the capital letter A is at the top of the field; some entries have a legitimate notes field and that looks ok. Any idea what that is and how to prevent it from being imported? Thanx
