mac word 2011 firefox3 freezeup

If I have added a citation to a word 2011 document with the add-in, and then open a firefox3 browser window and use the zotero plugin to select a new literature citation, everything freezes and the only fix is a hard restart. Any advice? I can't seem to remember not to do this, I would appreciate suggestions/workarounds.

    I really hope that's a typo. Last minor version of Firefox 3 (3.6) was released over 4 years ago and has not been supported for 2 years now. We cannot provide support for Firefox versions that old. Please upgrade.

    clarification--Firefox24.5 (in the firefox 3 class of app) and several previous releases...does not happen in the older Firefox 2 versions.

    You mean from within Word? How long have you let it run? And do you have to restart Firefox or Word?

    If you don't have to restart Firefox to recover, then please provide a Debug ID for this action. If you do have to close Firefox, then see if you can capture some Real-time Debug Output and either email it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread or post it to http://gist.github.com and link to it here.
