RIS Export from Zotero to Endnote: Place Field

If I try to export a reference or collection from Zotero to Endnote 8, using the RIS export format, the Zotero "Place" field does not transfer to the EndNote "City" Field. Instead, the latter remains blank and I lose the city. Does anyone have a fix for this?
  • Dec 2008 and I have the same query. I wonder if the field in Zotero could not be simply renamed / reworked as 'City', thus ensuring better compatibility, as so far, the style manager in Endnote is not surpassed by Zotero.

    Any word from Zotero developers?

In the meantime styles can be created here independently until Thomson lose the lawsuit.
  • It looks like the RIS translator was exporting Place in the wrong field. This is now fixed in the latest 1.0 dev build and will be fixed in 1.0.8, which should be out soon. In the meantime you should be able to open the exported RIS file in a text editor and do a find/replace from

    "CP - "

    to

    "CY - "

(That's two spaces after the letters plus a hyphen and another space.)
