proxy and google scholar redirect

when I want to visit google scholar (when logged on to my gmail account) zotero adds may university's proxy to the url (http://scholar.google.nl.proxy.ubn.ru.nl/). But then it wants me to logon again with my google account, which does not succeed.
How can I remove the redirect from Zotero for Google Scholar?

thanks
Maurice
  • Go to the "Proxy" tab of the Zotero preferences, double-click on what is likely the only entry in the window in the middle (it'll be labaled as "Multi-Site"). In the window that opens find http://scholar.google.nl (or something similar - it may be missing the http:// for example) and delete it.
  • thanks Adam,

it worked. the only thing is that the redirects to the proxy of the university library does not work anymore without this setting.
After I deleted it I re-entered the multi-site proxy in Zotero and it works, i.e. Google scholar is accessible but most likely all journal urls now need to be recognized again manually.

    Thanks

  • you missed a step - you deleted the entire multi-site proxy. I told you to double click on that, which opens a list of proxied sites from which you could have deleted google scholar specifically.
  • Ah, silly me.

that'll teach be being in a hurry.
Still, this option allows me to copy urls for the proxy from a different computer to this one.

    Thanks
