Generating historical timeline

Hello! I'm an aspiring historian,new to the forum and new to Zotero. I found about the software on the web so decided to try it. From first look it looks great! I have a question though;

Is it possible to generate a historical timeline or genealogy, for example for a certain region, that would also contain notes or links to them, and if it is possible, how it can be done?

    Have you found Zotero's timeline feature (under the gears/action menu)? Is that the type of thing you're looking for?

    Yes, I've seen the feature, but as I read from the documentation page https://www.zotero.org/support/timelines

    it is organized by the dates of publications or the dates when items were added/modified. What I need is a timeline for presentation of events from history, like in ChronoZoom, but not as an online application.

    no, that's not available—I doubt Zotero would be the right platform for that, since it doesn't collect or store any data on even dates.
