Bulk Remove Items from a Tag

I have about sixty items with a tag called manual.
I want to remove thirty of them from this tag.

Is there an easy way to remove a bulk of items from a tag?

I could add the remaining items to a new tag, delete the original tag and then rename the new tag back to original, but hoping there is an easier way.

you can make the tag a colored tag and then simply un-assign it with the numerical hot-key. That's a little faster:

Thanks. Neither way is very difficult. Just wanted to check if I was overlooking something.
