Systematic Review Tool

Hello,

I am asking that can i use zotero to manage papers for my Systematic Literature Review Library?

Basicly, i want to upload my search results (60k paper citations) and need to check duplications. Than i need to remove papers those are irrelevant.

Can i use zotero for this?

Thank you,
Mehmet

From where exactly? If you have them in a file, what file format (where did you download from if you don't know)?

The operations you're suggesting above are all possible, but with 60k papers, this could get pretty slow. If you don't have to import all 60k papers in one go, it may be more manageable (i.e. import 1000-5000 at a time and sort out duplicates/unwanted papers, then import more).
  • Thank you very much for yoru answer.

    Papers from IEEE, ACM Databases.
Also, can i categorize the papers with zotero?

Have you thought about how you're going to export search results from these databases? E.g. IEEE Xplore offers "Export Results" button, but unfortunately it will only export up to 2000 results in a CSV format, which is not something that Zotero can natively import. ACM Digital Library does not seem to offer any bulk export (though I didn't look very closely).

Zotero _can_ import multiple items from search results pages, but it's limited by the number of search results displayed per page and it will (generally, though this might be improved or is already optimized) result in a large number of HTTP requests to the server and _may_ get your IP address banned for some time. So generally, importing 60k items directly from web pages will take quite a bit of time and lots of clicking.

I don't have any great suggestions atm, but maybe you're looking at different ways of searching IEEE and ACM.
