Wikipedia citation templates

How does one get Zotero to use the correct formats for dates and names for journal articles? See it, when I export to Wikipedia citation templates, uses date formats like 2014-03-05 instead of the usual on Wikipedia (which in this case would be 5 March 2014). It also uses the full form of the author's first name(s), I would prefer it to use initials, which is what we usually do on Wikipedia anyway. Also, is it possible for these templates to be exported just as copyable plaintext that I can get from Zotero and copy directly into Wikipedia?

For the first two issues, you'd have to tweak the translator. Dates should be easy (though I think it's odd that WP wouldn't want ISO), initials a bit more tricky, but also doable.

Do you have a link to instructions for entering citations on Wikipedia that would support these changes?

These preferences are for me; I like Wikipedia's referencing style, so I use a sandbox of mine on Wikipedia to create my Wiki-style references for my blog. My preference is to have the date expressed in long form.
