Unable to access database after Ubuntu upgrade.

I just upgraded from Saucy to Trusty via a clean install, after which I did a restoration of my programs and home folder using instructions provided in this website.

The duplicity restoration process did not complete due to a hash mismatch.

I am using Zotero for Firefox.

When I open Firefox, an error msg pops up telling me that zotero.sqlite is corrupt. I tried to fix this by uploading the file to this website. https://www.zotero.org/utils/dbfix/

But the error still persists.

When I choose to 'restart later', Firefox can be launched, but clicking on the Zotero icon generates the following error:

Database upgrade error

How should I go about fixing my database?

on a similar post, Dan's advice was:

Unless you have your database on a damaged disk or in Dropbox, etc., it's highly unlikely that you'd be getting that after correctly running your database through the repair tool. Try again, and make sure you replace the correct file.
