Ampersand not displayed in Journal Title
I created an entry for an (austrian) journal called
"e&i Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik"
When I create the reference in my Word document I get:
22. Soucek, S.; Zucker, G. Current developments and challenges in building automation. Ei Elektrotechnik Informationstechnik 2012, Volume 129, 278–285.
Two things go wrong:
1. Instead of "e&i" I get "Ei"
2. The "und" (German for "and") is removed
I exported the entry to bibtex, there the ampersand (&) is correctly escaped:
@article{soucek_current_2012,
title = {Current developments and challenges in building automation},
volume = {Volume 129},
lccn = {0000},
number = {Issue 4},
journal = {e\&i Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik},
author = {Soucek, Stefan and Zucker, Gerhard},
year = {2012},
pages = {278--285}
}
It does not matter which style I use for the references.
How can I ensure that both the ampersand (&) and the "und" are preseved?
I use Zotero 4.0.20.2 in en-US and a German Microsoft Word 2010 (14.0.7121.5004) as part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010

Gerhard

doesn't seem to be a general issue - this works for me with the above data.
it is displayed correctly:
1. Soucek, S.; Zucker, G. Current developments and challenges in building automation. e&i Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik 2012, Volume 129, 278–285.
Any hints what could go wrong in the Word plugin?
You can turn off automatic journal abbreviations under document preferences and Zotero will fall back on the contents of the Journal Abbr. field.
After unticking "automatically abbreviate journal titles" in the Word addin "Zotero Set Doc Prefs" I now get a perfect reference:
22. Soucek, S.; Zucker, G. Current developments and challenges in building automation. e&i Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik 2012, Volume 129, 278–285.
Thanks a lot, Adam!
