Citing Translators of Individual Chapters in Edited Volumes
I am trying to cite multiple chapters in an edited volume, each of which has a different translator. I have added the translator to each chapter separately in Zotero, but in Word this is noted after the editor's name, and hence implies that the *whole book* and not the *single chapter* was translated by that person.
For example:
"I Love Cheese" by Mickey Mouse, trans. by Donald Duck, in Porky Pig (ed.) The Classics...
as opposed to
"I love Cheese" by Mickey Mouse, in Porky Pig (ed.) The Classics, trans. by Donald Duck...
Is there a way to change this, either when populating data fields in Zotero, or by shifting the order in the citation itself (without a manual edit)?
Apologies if this has been asked before. I'm new to Zotero, and given the more common use of 'translator' as a technical term, have had trouble finding anything on this topic.
Thanks in advance!

adamsmithno, can't be done. I'm not sure whether we'll be adding that type of detail (it's something that e.g. most style manuals don't cover) to CSL or whether Zotero is going to add it, I'm a pretty skeptical about the costs/benefits.

nickbartedited May 16, 2014Still, for the record and/or future reference, CMoS does recommend to be precise in such cases (http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/qanda/data/faq/topics/Documentation.html?page=5):

adamsmiththanks, that's useful. The complexity added is significant, so I'm not convinced it's worth it, but it's good to have a reference if we were to reconsider (the context in which this would likely happen is some version of hierarchical item types. With those, this may fit more nicely into Zotero and then may be worth exploring in CSL - but that's all far out. This isn't going to happen within the next year or two).
