Zotero is either "not responding" or giving very long "Beach Ball" delay

    I meet the same problem using zotero4.0.23 under windows 7, my items number is 2887, no erros were fond in the database after checking database intengrity ,
    add-ons installed as below:
    zotero word for windows integration 3.1.17.SA.4.0.23
    Paper Machine 0.4.8 //disabled by me
    Zotero LibreOffice Integration 3.5.9.SA.4.0.23
    Zotero Scholar Citations 1.8.4 //disabled

    based above all these, zotero is often "not responding" when I use search/ or using key ctrl+F.

    I have make the Debug Output submitted.
    The Debug ID is D1353910009.

    Try minimizing the tag selector on the left. If that's not it, please start a new thread, we try to keep things cleanly separated and the issue originally posted here was due to a specific add-on that you don't have installed.

    Thanks to adamsmith, after minimizing the taqg selector on the left, it works well now!
